Change #1
- The original StrikeMaster II had a 59 " elongated 90 degree bend sometimes caused the entry door strike to not engage.
- The New & Improved StrikeMaster II PRO solves the problem by incorporating a strike plate in the door entry lock area.
Change #2
- The original StrikeMaster II is designed with a pre-cut hole at 5 1/2 - 6 inches for the customer's deadbolt. This is the industry standard. Sometimes deadbolts are installed not at industry standards and the customer has to alter the StrikeMaster II (as instructed) to accommodate the deadbolt. This leaves an extra hole in the StrikeMaster II.
- The New & Improved StrikeMaster II PRO solves the problem by incorporating a knock-out at the standard distance, which in most cases will be used. But if the customer has to alter the StrikeMaster II PRO the knock-out will be left in place.
Change #3
- The original StrikeMaster II sometimes caused the entry door strike to not engage as tight as it was before installation.
- The New & Improved StrikeMaster II PRO solves the problem by incorporating an adjust-a-tab in the strike plate in the door entry lock area that tightens the seal of the door when closed.
Change #4
- The original StrikeMaster II width is 1 3/4", which sometimes caused the weather stripping to get caught behind the back edge of the StrikeMaster II thereby not allowing a good air tight seal when the door is closed.
- The New & Improved StrikeMaster II PRO solves the problem by increasinig the width to 1 7/8" so the weather stripping can not get behind the back edge.
The Strike Master II PRO is POSITIVELY the most user friendly and the easiest to install door frame reinforcement product on the market. Over 20,000 homeowners can't be wrong.
